In The Powder Room is an online community aimed primarily at women, helping them “to exchange their wants, likes, desires, trials and tribulations in an open and honest forum. And, more than that, they can have a laugh while they’re at it. In the Powder Room was created in response to the exasperated sighs of women across the globe who are bored of celebrity trivia, weight-loss tips, media bitch fights and being constantly bombarded with advice on how to be a better partner, mother, daughter and professional.”
I think that’s a fantastic remit, and In The Powder Room is a fantastic site. They approached us looking for three short animated films to explain a new concept about to be launched on the site – a shop where women receive a commission for recommending products through social media – something that most women do on a daily basis anyway! They wanted the films to be instructional and compelling, and to reflect the very feminine sense of humor and aesthetic of the site.
Here’s what they had to say:
From the very first point of contact with Slurpy Studios (via a Twitter recommendation) it was a pleasure to work with Slurpy Studios. Professional, super-smart, friendly and bursting with great ideas – they offer a top quality service.
They are supremely talented animators who were able to take my ideas and really “get” what I was trying to achieve without the need for detailed direction. In addition to delivering a high quality set of instructional videos on time and within budget, their natural creativity and great sense of humour added a whole extra dimension to the finished products – I can’t recommend them highly enough
