For a new short sequence in WW1 Uncut, we needed to visually show the production of barbed wire moving from a small cottage industry to a global one over the course of the War.

We started with a Grandmother slowly knitting barbed wire in her front room, and pulled back to show a soldier knocking at her door with an order form. We then pulled out again, past factory after factory until we can see the entire Earth wrapped in barbed wire.
